I believe globalization is a reflection of global social justice, and I believe that such a vision will help make future economic progress possible; a new approach to the globe depends in part on an international society cooperating together in concert, and by actively cooperating. The ideas espoused in my book will build a global consensus, and I hope many more countries will join in the global effort to pursue economic or military strength first. As our leadership and strategic wisdom must be based on thinking on a world, we must not confuse strategic thinking with planning and vision. Our goals is not to run the world; our tasks are to determine its interests—and to ensure that these interests can be sustained and are necessary for the benefit of all—in pursuit of peace and human prosperity. Only in this world can these interests be realized. A different, more balanced global context provides conditions for economic growth and security by a global leadership around the world. This is not some empty phrase: some countries, especially any in the Middle East or China, have a responsibility to lead their nations into “a world that serves everyone, as the world as the very self-declared home.” We should strive to achieve peace, security, industry, education and greater harmony without the need to run the world with a military, or by transferring resources from one country to another.
